CamBam Plus thought I used my 40 uses immediately

I have two computers.  On one of them CamBam Plus is working fine in the 40 trial mode.

On the other it immediately thought I had used up my 40 trials, even though I had never installed it or run it before.  That machine did have CamBam non-plus installed.

Is there any way to rectify this?  If I could pick one machine to run CamBam Plus on it would be the one where it isn't working.  I'm pretty close to buying once I can make 3d operations work properly for me (see my other post).

Don't panic!  The evaluations aren't used up, it is likely that there are insufficient permission to write to the useage counter which results in the unhelpful evaluation expired messaged.
This is usually a Vista or Windows 7 thing.

Try running CamBam as an administrator or set to run in XP compatibility mode.
