I am a very new Linux user and am very inexperienced, especially trying to install this program on my machine. Can someone walk me through, step by step, what I need to do to install CamBam. I have been trying now for about 4 or 5 hours and I have not been able to gain any ground-Any help would be appreciated. I am running Ubuntu 12.4.05LTS and trying to interface with linuxcnc for laser cutting.
thank you

On the cambam site (Home) in this forum on the top line at right

You will find more info.

basically you have to:

1) Download the Cambam for Linux version you need and decompress it in your home directory (the workhorse is 0.9.8, as 1.0 is still in testing and have some bugs

2) Download a copy of the "CamBam system folders" and decompress it in ~/.config/CamBam plus 0.9.8 (home).

3) do some tweak at the settings of the DE (it depends on your DE)

4) download a preprocessor if it is not in the "CB system folders"

eventually purchase a license and put it in the ~/.config/Cambam....
