Useful website with lots of calculators

I stumbled on this website when looking for info pertaining to thread I need to cut. Just browsing I took the thread calculator for spin.. It works well. There's also phone app available, but from what I read is not so good. I'm using it by simply going to the website..

Hi Bubba
I went and had a look at the site, and tested out the tap and drill size chart.
The chart has an error in it for 3mm x .5 metric threads tap size = 3.0 mm (I use 2.5)
This stood out as I use 3 mm threads a lot, so you might want to double check against another chart, just for peace of mind.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for point that out so others who use those charts be aware of potential problems. Myself, I don't use metric units and mainly interested in the thread calculator.

Yes, nice slick software David. Thanks for sharing.
The problem I run into was the thread pitch selection box. Possibly, because I haven't installed the 100Mb version and the options were limited, I didn't see the decimal points numbers to use for 1-14 thread (0.0714). Yes, the software was set to inch units..

Hello
If I well remember, the 100MB version is the same for the software, the extra MB are PDF thread datasheet.
