The El Cheapo indicator holders with mag base make fantastic camera mounts.  Just turn and thread the end of the second rod to 1/4-20.  Just about all cameras (except those with out a mounting hole) or camera mount adapters are tapped 1/4-20.  Then you have pretty infinite adjustment.  I use one on the tailstock of my lathe when I went to shoot a video of a process or operation.

After a lot of testing I got the best results from these;

best free software: Colmap
however it is very slow but okay if your project is not too big.

best paid software (with acceptable price): Agisoft Metashape Standard
