Think I should share. Being inspired by excellent Dan Gelbart's videos, I've build my crude version
of center finder. It points down along the axis of rotation, and projects a perfect circles thanks to

Wire end plugs into the ER collet and may be bent for adjustment. About 1000-1400 rpm is ok,
it flickers too much if less and shakes due to unbalance if more.

Made from cheap laser pointer and a few details at hand in about a hour time. Stock resistor from pointer
was replaced by a greater one to reduced brightness.

Beam width may be reduced by tuning the laser lens. Maybe the pinhole will work too.
