Hmmm.... I was doing a 3D job in 9.8 just a week ago, and could have sworn that snap-to-point was not only working, but interfering with what I was attempting to do!

I'll re-check.  I don't wish to say that's wrong without corroboration, but I could just swear it was doing it!

Hello Lloyd Wink

I just retry on 0.98, and no way to snap to points on a 3D object (If I well remember, I do a script to do that by creating a point list from the 3D surfaces points, so we can snap to point on the point list)

David,
Of course you were correct, but I had to see what it was that left me with the impression I had.

Actually, there IS some 'snapping' going on, but not what's intuitive, nor what one would want.  The cursor will snap to a 3D-solid's vertices in X,Y, but a point placed that way will always be at Z=0 in version 0.98.

I'm quite nearly at the point, now, where I can safely move my work to v1.

Is there a way to capture to clipboard the values for distance between measured points, X, Y, Z, and angle?

No, but I can have a look some time to see how easy (or hard) that would be
It would probably require a "copy to clipboard" button on the pop-up form

Yes, now there is, version 4.0

Updated plugin, version 4.0, added to the first post in this thread.

Has been compiled with .NET version 3.5 assemblies so works with CamBam v0.9.8 and CamBam v1.0

I took the easy way out. The plugin copies all values to CamBam's Message Log window and from there can be copied to Windows clipboard if desired using this plugin; http://www.atelier-des-fougeres.fr/Cambam/Aide/Plugins/MessageLogCopy.html

Eddy,

You can defer about 'taking shortcuts' if you wish, but your skills never cease to amaze me!

Neat!
