I recently installed my computer again after a crash.. Windows was already a bit crippled because some features of Alibre Design also stopped working.. |

Now, with a fresh install of Win10, as of today June 8 2019, i installed Cambam, the drivers for the 3D spacemouse, and the plugin..

Drum roll.. It still doesn't work..

Congratulations, Arie!

It's all in the 'specific software', and that can be difficult to discern, sometimes.

Version 10.6.0 was never going to work because the plugin has not been recompiled with it, that's why it says "v10.5.15" in the description.

Will there be a new version of the plugin compatible with the new driver?.. i'm not sure if the driver wil auto-Update.. if it  does.. i will be stuck with a non-working 3D Spacemouse again.. and i'm just over the moon that it works again..

new version tonight  Wink

If someone requests an updated plugin I can do it quickly, otherwise I only find a driver update whenever I remember to check the 3DConnexion website.

Once you have it working in CamBam it's a huge miss without it.

Hi Eddy,

i would appreciate it if you could update once more..

Thank you!

P.S.: Another question to you Eddy:

Is there a sample framework on how to program such a Plug-In? I am thinking of writing one myself for an open source software for Aero-Design (xflr5).

Update to drivers, v10.6.2

Pictures show details.

Tested on Windows 10 64bit with CamBam 0.9.8 and CamBam 1.0

The place I started was in 3DConnexion forums; https://www.3dconnexion.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=19&sid=b81bdf78ff8de61e0a87d2140bdce662

They have a SDK for programming the mouse but to be honest it was beyond my understanding which is why I used the TDxInput method. Unfortunately 3DConnexion do not support the TDxInput route, only the SDK route.

The SDK is here; https://www.3dconnexion.co.uk/service/software-developer.html
You have to open a free account to get started. You will find programming examples there.

I suggest you take the SDK route if possible.

You will also find example code on GitHub

Thx a bunch for your efforts!  Smiley

I've already d/led the SDK and now i need a little more reading before i can dive into coding something useful.
