Glad to hear that someone is using it!  Cambam makes it pretty easy.

10Bulls, maybe removing the .dll.txt attachments in the various posts would clear up some confusion.  In the sticky you could add a convention for naming zipped source code files so people don't go looking for dll's in those archives.

Hello,  RTChoke
The creator of ArcText are Hans_G he deserves all credit.

About files *_scr.zip or *-scr.zip, source files and are used to compile transforming file *.dll in plugins in the case of CamBam.

The tool that compiles and VISUAL STUDIO Microsoft VS2005 the language C#.
If you are interested purchasing a book that talk about VS2005 C#.

See http://www.cambam.co.uk/docs/scripting-objects.html has definitions of class, properties and methods, to be updated for the CamBam+.

There is a standard you change, source files, you have to keep the name of the creator and his comment, and put your name and comment the your.

I am creating a plugin, gear module requires a lot of variables mathematics sub-routine and this plugin
are for CamBam+.

respectfully, Armando

Updated for 0.9.4B so that UI updates when a change is made to any text property.  UI refresh was automagic in the free version, but not so in Plus, didn't realize it til yesterday.

Happy holidays!

Hello everyone,

I've used arctext in previous releases, but I can't seem to get this to work on 0.9.7f.

I've unzipped it to the plugins directory, and when I click on the tab, it comes up, but going any further causes an error box to come up. By clicking continue I can eventually get to a list, but then I can't change fonts or anything else besides the text.

I love CamBam and I sure this is probably something I'm doing wrong. I try to limit doing the same thing three times, ( I'm not crazy, I just try harder Cheesy) after that I expect the same results. But now I've run out of different ways to do it completely. Once I was even asked for a password. I have no idea what that was about. I can list the errors if it would help.

Thanks for any and all guidance,

My Best Regards,

Bill K.

There is a new arctext version for 0.9.7.  The 0.9.6 versions aren't compatible w/ 0.9.7 versions.  Try the attached file and let me know if you have any problems.

This is pretty good timing though.  I recently fixed a bug and added the LowerCaseOffset parameter.  This will move lower-case letters like 'p' or 'q' up or down if needed.  Leave it to zero and everything will appear normal.

Yes, Thank You. That works perfectly, even better then before with the offset. Nice touch.

This gives much faster results then rotating and translating the individual letters.

Sweet! Grin

Thanks again.

Inkscape can draw text along an arbitrary path, if you end up wanting to do something more complex.  It can also set the kerning for every individual letter pair (if I remember, you use 'alt left' and 'alt right' to shrink/grow the spacing).

Humm, well, spell check comes to mind.  Grin

I am not serious, not even a little bit.

But I do appreciate your effort. This is something I wouldn't even know where to start with.
