A revised 0.9.8L version (rc-3) is now available from the downloads page:

http://www.cambam.info/downloads/#devt

The main focus of this release has been to track down and fix any toolpath 'glitch' problems as more people are using larger and more complicated meshes with the 3D routines.
Many of these fixes and changes also apply to making the 2D routines more robust.

A big thank you to Martin (blowlamp), David (dh42) and many others for their endless supply of patience and tortuous test files that went into testing this release.

I have just uploaded, hopefully one last update to the 0.9.8L installer.

http://www.cambam.info/downloads/#devt

If no problems are found with this version, it will replace the venerable 0.9.8i release as the latest stable version.

0.9.8L (rc-3) was intended to be the last update but there have been a couple of minor changes in this new version.

These are:

. A fix to the detect intersection / break at intersections routines to handle intersections with tangents better.
. Custom MOP Header, Footer and Custom drill scripts were missing the multi-line text editor [...] button in CAM Styles.
. A change to canned cycle and custom drill script handling in the post processor when used with the {set()} macro and 'Rapid down to clearance'=False option.

Andy, when I visited the link, and downloaded it, I noticed the link itself had not been updated (still showed as "visited").  It's also exactly the same size as the last rc3???

Is it still the updated version, or is the correct link not showing?

thanks,
Lloyd

The link looks OK here... you may want to try refreshing your browser cache in case it has cached the old page.

You are correct in that the file sizes are the same (10,303,488 bytes), which I can only presume is a coincidence.
(The changes between (rc-3) and the latest one were very minor.)

The filenames should be different though:
CamBamPlus-0.9.8L-rc3.msi (previous) CamBamPlus-0.9.8L.msi (latest).

To make sure: if you do Help - About, the latest version should read:

CamBam plus [0.9] Rel 8L
CamBam.CAD : 0.9.4339.27540
CamBam : 0.9.4339.27541
