e-machine shop has a free CAD program that's very good for 2D and 2.5D drawings.  emachineshop.com

You can add Camotics to the list, just about essential, and there is a plugin for CB on this site for it.

Blender is a free 3D modeller and CAD (with a lot of CAD related plugins).
I work since years with C4D for modelling 3D objects, but this is very expensive. The last year I change more and more to blender.
And Sculptris, the free version of Zbrush.

I need for my work more a modeller software then a CAD software. 3D modeller may be defined as a separate category.
