1  FeedBack / Bug Reports / printing on: July 20, 2019, 08:40:37 am
Hi,

I noticed on CB when printing in black and white CB is printing everything as it should so no problem but when you select the color printing option he will only print colored lines and the original black lines are skipped so I do not get my full drawing when using color printing ?? Black is also a color Grin.

When printing in black and white all original colored lines are printed in black so why is it not working in the other way when printing color that black lines are also printed.

It seems that in color mode CB is only looking at the toolpath lines.

Hi ,

I found the solution.

I used the velocity mode in the cam styles  (constant velocity and exact stop ) . Defined these as G60 or G62 in the pp and added that value on the correct spot in my g-code header.

Is working fine

Hi ,

Is there any available field in the camstyles that I can use to define a certain Gcode setting depending on the MOP?

the G60 code in my header should depend on the mop type and switch between G60 And G62

I am having some of these fields already used like {$tool.index}  that brings a number in my gcode . When looking in the camstyles I found a field called spindle range which  I am not using. I would like to use in a similar way but it is not working or am I typing something wrong ?  G{$spindle.range}. Or is there another field that I can use ?
It has to start from the camstyles as these are defining the use of G60 or G62

6  Support / CamBam help (General usage) / loading dxf file colors on: January 09, 2019, 18:27:16 pm
Hi ,

I have layers and colors set in my cad program but when when I load the file in cb the colors are not be transfered to cb. In some files it does and others not. Is there any specific rule or setup to have this done ? The color scheme should become exactly the same in CB or not ?

Also the window view in cb is to small and the bottom to low . I always have to change it every time I start CB and tried to save it but it never works. Is there a way to do it ? My cb starts always via a template

Hi Ralf

Correct. The z-height was different. Seems logic once you find out ;-)

8  Support / CamBam help (General usage) / wrong measuring on: December 25, 2018, 17:26:06 pm
Hi All,

I found a strange issue with measuring in a certain setup and it seems cb is doing something wrong. What I did was drawing a shape add a profile mop and run the toolpath. After this I transformed the toolpath to a geometry. I draw a circle which is the diameter of my tool which is 17,5 mm and put it on the new geometry which should fit according to the first original geometry and it did . I drawed the intersection points. Now if you take the measure tool and you measure the radius it shows to me a value of (13.28768 mm ) Huh . I copied that very same circle with centre point and moved it next to the shape . Measured again and there the radius is correct ( 8.75mm ). Can someone explain this ??

Hi Eddy,

Sorry for my late reply. I am currently following some course to learn python. I am still a beginner but I would like to know if this script can be tuned to what I need as you could read in my earlier demand on auto part creation.

I would like to make it as a script but you will get a lot of questions from me  Grin Grin

As you know I work in a specific way. There you also have a file attached as example

Hi ,

I am looking to use this script for my use but I work with camstyles. Am I right that this script can only work with 1 presetted style in the machining tab?

If so is it possible to preset the style library in the machining tab "Standard-mm" and using the camstyle names in the layers ? Example Caaaaa = (Cwangen) ?

This could allow me to use different camstyles depending on the type of layer i have
