Title: CutViewer display showing Crop Circles.
Post by: blowlamp on August 03, 2011, 23:19:10 pm
I haven't cut anything yet with the new 'K' CamBam release, but the attached file is showing Crop Circles in CutViewer.

Can anyone see a dodgy setting somewhere please, or do you get something similar?

Martin.

Hello Martin,

I get same thing as you on CV ... even with no leadins.

But if I do a "arc fit" on the oval, that works with no crop circle  ??? see on attachment

I mentioned in my email that your file worked OK for me here.
That wasn't quite 100% true  ::)...

I was only looking at the stock removal simulation, which didn't show up any problems.
When I turned on Show Toolpaths, I saw the errant arcs too.
Apologies... I didn't realise it was a toolpath problem until I read this forum post.

As CutViewer's stock removal simulation looks OK with this file, I'm tempted to right this off as a CutViewer toolpath display bug.

As we concluded, setting Minimum Arc Length to 0.001 (from 0.0001) in the post processor avoids the problem.
